Well, it is the 37 week of this pregnancy and since the 36 week my blood pressure has been slightly high 144/76 at my last appointment. I have had to go and see my doctor twice a week since the first sign it was high. Every time I go I end up laying on my left side and then come and recheck it and it drops back to normal 120/60 last time. Well since this was my third appointment in a week that was high, my doctor thought we should check my blood work for other signs of preeclampsia. So she sent the nurse in to draw blood. She only got like two drops of blood and couldn't find the vein. I am a little scared because I never have trouble when they take blood. So she checks my other arm to see if I have a good vein but doesn't feel comfortable poking me again so she goes to get another nurse. Still a little scared but she came in and got a vein and drew the blood right away. Thank goodness, as I would have been freaking out if it didn't work. I did get the blood work results later that day and it was fine. I have been on somewhat of bed rest for since Monday and am to continue to do very little but laying on my left side. I go on Mondays and Thursdays so hopefully my blood pressure doesn't get worse or develop anymore signs for the preeclampsia.
I did find out that I am 50% effaced but I haven't dilated any. I am totally comfortable with this as I don't want to go into labor and want to have Kinleigh on the 24. Since my mom, my mother-in-law, and myself were all born on the 24 of different months, i think it would be fun to keep that streak going! Another thing is my Doctor is on vacation the 17 - 22 and I don't want anything to happen while she is gone.
Okay I'm off to check on the workers outside, they are installing our garage door! Yep, that's right, no more carport!!!
