Well, we have officially started the process of getting the baby's room ready. We have moved the dogs out and into the other bedroom. I still need to go through the closet to get rid of more clothes, as there are too many to fit. Goodwill will be getting a bunch of stuff in the next few weeks as I'm not really wanting to do a garage sale this summer. I'm not sure what the dogs think but it will be interesting in the morning to see which room they go to for their kennels. Jon also replaced the door knob for that bedroom so it won't get stuck shut. Jon also put the crib together today, didn't take very long and I'm glad it is done. Now we need to get a mattress and if we only knew the gender, we could buy some bedding. I also want to paint the room but that all depends on the bedding. I'm not sure why this weekend we decided to rip into all of this but over the last few days I can really tell the difference in the flutter movements from the beginning and the full on kicks. Definitely an active one.
My cousins and I went to the Craft Fair and Bumblebees and Ladybugs sales at the Fairgrounds this weekend. I picked up a few pairs of pants and a quilt rack. Jon's mom, Shari, is quilting a quilt from all the strips our guests wrote on at our wedding/reception and I will need a place to put it. Where it will go in the house is still being determined but I thought it was lovely and worth the price.
We also picked up a mower this weekend to replace the one the tree crushed last year. Jon is very happy with his decision so as soon as we have some spring like weather, I'm sure he will be out testing it out. It is bright green also known as a Lawnboy.
Okay I'm off to do some laundry and find some new homes for things being kicked out of their old spots. Hopefully sooner than later we will know the gender so we can get more prepared for the little one. My co-workers are working on a baby shower for May 18th so I hope I know before then whether baby Rood is a boy or a girl. Some things I want gender specific and others I want neutral. If we only knew...
