Best Deal Ever!

So about two years ago, I took in my '99 silver ford escort zx2 to get fixed. Jim at Goodyear asked, "What's this car to you?" I of course replied, "It gets me back and forth from work everyday." Followed by, "Where's work?" "Grand Island and I drive the interstate" Jim cot a crazy look on his face and replied, "Oh Lord, your car isn't safe to drive. You're lucky it hasn't fallen apart on you on the road. Your tie rod is hanging on by a thread and could fall of at anytime." That was only one of many things needed to get fixed, so I told him to fix what needed to be fixed and I would fix the rest at a later date. So after this, I started to drive the impala to work and Jon took the escort.
Fast forward....
Well, about a week ago, Jon and I decided it was time to look for another car to replace the escort as it is a pain putting the car seat in and out of the backseat of the two door. Well, we started looking on Friday night and Jon found a car in Gothenburg that he wanted me to check on. So I called down to the dealership and they still had the car available. So we had a bunch of things to accomplish in the next few hours. I had to drive to Ravenna to get my title signed and we had to clean out the escort and vacuum it out. We were ready for Saturday morning. Praying we would be able to make it to Gothenburg without breaking down on Highway 30 as we weren't sure the car would handle I-80. So we set out on our dri
ve when I asked Jon what he thought we might get for a trade in if we choose to get the car. He wasn't sure so I said I was hoping for $1000 but it was blue booked at $700. Jon thought no way, maybe $200 but he was just hoping they'd take the car.
Finally we arrive at the dealership, and the car is waiting for us to test drive. We took it out on the interstate and back and we really like it. So when we got back they took to talk over the price. So he showed us the list price, then said they had a $1250 "coupon" for the car that was "expiring soon". Then he asked what we were thinking of for a
trade-in value. I said $1000 but wasn't sure if it was too high. The dealer says, "Oh hell, I was thinking $1200." We were definitely okay with that. So he had the total price and was going to work on the paperwork while we went to lunch. When we came back to sign the papers, we were sitting at the desk when he put this brochure in front of us with a picture of Las Vegas. Then proceeded to tell us that we were getting a free trip for two to Las Vegas, hotel and airfare! Then as we were leaving, it was their March Madness deal and we got a basketball, 12 pack of pop and a frozen pizza. We definitely received a great deal! We purchased an '06 Impala SS, loaded. We sure enjoy it.
On a side note: I'm thinking Kinleigh said mama today, and her second tooth broke through too!

Okay off to bed!
