9 Months Old

Kinleigh and I went to the park the other day and enjoyed the slide and swings. She loves to swing as her daycare provider lives across the street and they go every chance they can get. Kinleigh wasn't too sure about the slide but learned quickly how to slide down by herself.
We were able to get a picture on the swing together too.

I have been super busy with track this season, especially the last week or two, and ended up missing Kinleigh's 9 month check-up. So Daddy had to go by himself, which went great anyways! Kinleigh was 21.6 pounds and in the 88% and was 29 inches long which was the 90% for height. She is wearing 12-18 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She has given up on her own scooting for crawling the last week or so and is extremely quick to move. She is quite stubborn and wants to feed herself without help which means she is eating tons of finger foods.
Last weekend we went to the horse races in GI for the Kentucky Derby and the weekend before for my mom's birthday. That day was the ladies hat day and Kinleigh and I entered the contest. We didn't win but won meals to Subway! Here is a picture of Kinleigh in her hat.

Only a couple more weeks until I'm done for the school year but most importantly one more day of track!!!! I do have about 4 weeks this summer of paid work but looking forward to spending time with Kinleigh and our trip to Vegas in July (while Kinleigh stays home with Grandma Kathy). Jonathan graduates from High school this next weekend and I will be walking for my master's at Doane.

Okay off to enter entries for tomorrow's meet!
