Siding Update Part 2

Well, we finally called our agent and complained that it is taking forever for an answer and that we aren't able to make any repairs until this is settled. They were able to get us in contact with a supervisor who works out of GI. After playing phone tag with a State Farm supervisor, we were able to talk about the whole process on Monday the 15th. I explained how they said it was matchable and there was a company in GI that could get the materials but when I showed up with my siding sample, they couldn't match it. I told him that I have a written statement from the company stating that they couldn't match the siding nor could they get the siding from somewhere else and that I gave samples to my disaster agent on Sept. 4th and haven't heard back. I told him that I had tried Sept. 13th but didn't get an answer. He proceeds to tell me that my agent is gone to another "disaster" area and wouldn't be back. Thanks for finishing up my case and letting us know!! Plus, he couldn't see any records from my disaster agent about the statement or siding sample from the 4th which means he hasn't sent them in!!
The supervisor asks me to bring in the statement and siding samples that I had at home which I did on Tuesday the 16th and that he would try to make it over to measure the house. Well he called me today to let us know that he was over on Monday and measured the house and that they were going to pay to have the whole house resided. So in 3 days he was able to get more done for us then our disaster agent could in months.
Friday is the day they will start re-roofing the house and then on to everything else. Tomorrow we will get to pick out our house color, which I believe we are going to get a darker tan siding and eventually add shutters to the windows. Hopefully everything will be done shortly, at least before it gets too cold. Okay, I'm off to bed as mornings come way to quickly.
